| This quality walnut slate measures 9 1/4" x 7 5/8" x a little over 5/8" thick and is a locking flap style as in a Dr. Q method. This was yet to be finished off and still has the wood tabes at the miters which must be cut off and sanded smooth. This was originally being done for someone that wanted to cover one side of the included flap with either plain paper or newsprint so that the slate could have the ghostly message covered with the flap at first and when laid on a newspaper the flap could be released and then later the slate picked up and message shown. As it is the flap is a match on both sides to the slate itself. Condition very fine. | |
