| Will Goldston circa 1912 1st edition leather bound 506 pages. In the 1910 1911 Magician Annual a small block add appeared stating In preparation Exclusive Magic Secrets. This was the beginning of books that were much coveted by those unable to obtain them and this holds true even more so today some 90 years later. Paper numbering label appears on spine and duplicate label appears inside front cover. Front flyleaf separated. Previous owners signature appears on title page and page 7 with number 13 designating position in his library. A 2 inch square paste down of a checker board puzzle appears on last page of index. Opposite side of title flyleaf and adjoining page is where the previous owner decided to list a directory of his magical library. This listing reads like a modern day wish list with prices of the day. Lock is absent and all edges worn with most notable wear and absence of leather to front cover edge of spine. Even with the aforementioned this book has more character than most you will see. | |
