| Beginning in 1973 with the release of The Oriental Magic of The Bambergs and continuing through subsequent volumes and with the Index Volume and Binder with Supplements issued for Volume 8 at the same time. In addition to the series you will find also Magic Supplement which is perfect bound soft covers and Magic Of Germany Supplement also chock full of photographs. All volumes had Limited Edition status and depending on the volume, the number published varied with the greatest limitation being on Volume 5. Several of the volumes are signed by Dr. Albo. Not only does the series fully embrace conjuring apparatus but a host of other collectibles as well such as magic tokens, books, posters, magic sets and more. If you are new to collecting let this be a spring board for a pleasant journey as nowhere else will you find the vast amount of information contained within. The series includes: *1973 The Oriental Magic Of The Bambergs (1), Limited Numbered Edition (but unnumbered), 228 pages, illustrations and color plates. Condition very fine. *1976 Classic Magic With Apparatus (2) Limited Numbered (but unnumbered) and Signed Edition, 208 pages with illustrations and color plates. Condition very fine. *1976 More Classic Magic With Apparatus (3) Limited Signed Edition, 268 pages with illustrations and a large color plates section. Condition very fine. *1982 Further Classic Magic With Apparatus (4) A Limited Edition of 700 copies, 229 pages with illustrations and a large photo plates section in color. Condition very fine. *1985 Still Further Classic Magic With Apparatus (5) Limited Signed Edition, 339 pages with illustrations and a large color plates section. Condition very fine. *1986 Final Classic Magic With Apparatus (6), Thank You Section is Signed, 415 pages with illustrations and a color section. Condition very fine. *1986 Classic Magic Index (7), Last page Signed, 266 pages with illustrations and a large color section. Condition very fine. *Binder with Classic Magic Supplement imprint and number (8) on backstrip which includes the Floyd Thayer Supplement, Forcing Books and Book Tests Supplement and the Okito Timeline. Condition very fine. *1986 Magic Supplement, 108 pages, full color plates and illustrations. Condition very fine. *Magic Of Germany Supplement, chock full of photographs. Condition very fine. All volumes have clear acetate covers with exception of the first which is no great problem to replace. This also includes a box slip case which holds all volumes and has gilt stamping on front cover. When originally shipped many of these were split open at the back top and bottom edges and this one no exception but once on shelf of course is not seen. Front cloth inside tab to lift cover up to gain access to volumes has been reinforced with red cloth tape. All of the volumes 1 through 8 are cloth bound with gilt stamping and I can assure you that ownership of these books will have you looking them over time and time again as the amount of material contained within is voluminous. | |
