Using a newstand type magazine the spectator is allowed to open the magazine to any story choose a series of words at which time the mentalist hands the spectator an envelope.

The spectator removes a message and is startled to find that the mentalist had predicted the series of words that were going to be selected and no time was the envelope out of their sight!
