This beautiful box measuring 5 1/2 inches x 8 inches x 1 3/4 inches thick has no equal as it is the finest ever made topping any Thayer or Owen piece or for that matter anyone else's manufacture.

The brass hinges are inset and all of the screw heads have the slot facing in a parallel to the box direction. The masterful skill taken to make such a mechanical wonder is of the highest. This is a flap transference with the internal mechanism having the ability to lock and unlock the flap into either the top inside or bottom inside of the box.

This will work with either jumbo cards or currency notes or a message written on a slip of paper if desiring to go the mentalism route. There are a couple of scuffs in the top and bottom areas of the box otherwise fine.

What you are not able to see by the photograph is the bevel taper on the top and bottom sides of the box that add to enhance the beauty of this magnificent piece. This has been unavailable for many years.
