This cabinet of wood has a front door that when opened shows a frame with a golden dowel through its center section on the horizontal. Upon this dowel are 3 or 4 silks (not included) tied in a single loose knot.

The magician removes the silks one at a time by tugging gently at the knot leaving the golden dowel barren in the frame. The magician closes the door and fastens the latch.

The silks are then vanished either by sleight of hand or by means of a silk cabby but no doubt the magician has something in mind.

Moving over to the frame he turns the latch on the door and lowers it and much to the surprise of the audience the silks are back in place on the dowel tied as before! Keep in mind the ends of the dowel have been in sight the entire time.
