This lavishly hand decorated piece from Portugal is one you're not likely to see again and this one measures 10 inches long x 6 3/4 inches wide x 3 3/4 inches high. The original intention for use is that of showing the drawer completely empty and closing it handing it to a spectator. At the proper time the magician requests the spectator to open the drawer and two live birds make their appearance! This is an artist signed piece and the signature denotes a great deal of pride and accomplishment in the decorating of such a special piece in lacquers. This is true magic artwork.
