Stating that this device is a counterfeit bill detector the magician takes a bill out of his money and places it into the tray covering it with the lid. After waiting a moment the lid is removed and the magician says this is a good one.

Taking the bill out of the tray the magician asks a spectator if they would like to try one of their bills. The spectators bill is placed in the tray and the lid goes on waiting for a moment. The magician says that counterfeit bills are also known as Funny Money and the lid is lifted and a strip of comics the same size as the bill is seen as the magician says he is sorry as he gives the strip of comics to the spectator also saying it looks like his bill was funny money.
