From a paper bag the magician pours rice into an ornate vase of metal covering it with the lid and setting it aside. A stack of disks or checkers in red and gold are demonstrated separate and covered setting this a distance away from the vase.

An orange (which may be genuine) is shown and placed under another cover and set aside. The magician commands a transposition by magical means and it has indeed happened! The vase is taken up and the lid removed turning over the vase and instead of the expected rice out rolls the orange!

Moving to the cover which had the orange placed within it is lifted and now the stack of checkers has taken its place. The last cover yet seen which held the checkers is lifted and out flows the quantity of rice leaving in the minds of the spectators a magical effect that defies explanation and having a lasting impression.

This is an absolutely beautiful set. The polished metal vase has a minute 1/4 inch depression just under the rolled edge at the very top which is nearly hidden from view once the lid is in place.
