This is a mechanical chest built of wood with brass hinges measuring 14 1/2 inches wide x 6 inches deep x 5 5/8 inches high.

A cage of brass is exhibited within the chest with the top and front door open. Removing the cage the magician shows it around and after places it within the chest followed by closing the doors.

A tilting motion to the side opposite that which the cage was placed in is made and an audible sound is heard. Opening the doors on the side the cage was placed finds and empty space apparently the cage has vanished!

To the quick and astute calls for showing the other side are made which leaves the magician no choice but to close the two doors and giving a tilting motion followed by a suspicious sound. The opposite set of doors are now opened and once again nothing to be seen.

The climax occurs when two doors are open and the two that are closed obviously concealing the cage which has been sliding back and forth are opened to reveal not the cage but a multicolor silk scarf (included)! At this point the magician is able to produce the missing cage from some receptacle a distance away from the chest.

Built in mechanical properties allow for the vanish of the cage and the production of silk at the desired moment. Other items may be produced other than the silk such as *Foam Eggs *Spring Flowers or the like. A duplicate cage included is for the reproduction and this cage is built to fold to a flattened condition.

This is a very scarce item and a departure from the Die Box.
