The magician shows both hands empty and removes a handkerchief (not supplied) from his pocket draping it over his left hand. He then forms a small pocket in the handkerchief over his fist followed by taking a salt shaker (not included) and pouring a flow of salt into the pocket in the handkerchief.

After the shaker is emptied it is replaced on the table and without any suspicious moves the handkerchief is slowly drawn away from the left hand and the salt is seen to have vanished! The handkerchief is taken by the left hand and the right hand reaches into the air and the fingers close and from the right fist cascades the vanished salt!
