When you think of rattle box you think of a small rectangular box as most of us have known made by various manufacturers. This one devised by Clarence Miller is rather simple looking measuring 2 1/8 inches square and only 1/2 inch thick made of walnut with a simple basswood closing arm that reminds one of a traffic gate.
After the spectator drops in a coin or a narrow wedding band style ring the basswood arm is lowered to a closed position and the magician rattles the box showing the object placed within is where it should be. The box is set aside and later when the spectator picks it up to check on the contents it is found to rattle no more and the item has vanished!
A clever design I've not seen the likes of before with its ingenious mechanical construction. Includes instructions. A signed piece.
